TABS Financial Planning

Introduction

According to an article in Newsweek, there is an immediate need for 50,000 financial planners to help the baby boomer generation protect and grow their financial assets in retirement. Take advantage of this need and prepare yourself for an exciting career in the world of personal finance through the only master’s-level financial planning program in New England.

The Master of Science in Financial Planning (MSFP) program at Bentley enhances careers in personal financial planning, income tax and estate planning, retirement planning, law, investments, insurance, employee benefits, human resources and banking. Courses are taught by working professionals who understand how classroom lessons translate into real-world opportunities.

Students in the MSFP program learn to help individuals achieve their financial goals through proper planning and wealth management. Through the Hughey Center for Financial Services and other high-tech facilities at Bentley, students use the latest technology and software to capitalize on the information-rich financial planning environment. Moreover, the program stresses ethical responsibility as a critical part of the financial planning profession.

Study Online

The MSFP offers tremendous flexibility. Students can take courses full time or part time, on campus, online, or in any combination that works for them. Distance-learning and on-campus students take part in the same high-caliber lectures, at the same time, and are able to interact with the professor and classmates. Class sessions are recorded and available for playback on campus, in the office, or at home.

Certified Financial Planner

The MSFP program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards and provides the requisite education to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination. In addition, for students with the appropriate academic background, the program satisfies the fifth-year academic requirement to become a licensed CPA in many states, including Massachusetts.
